Cody James C. Heuer

Cody James Heuer was a kind and gentle soul. He took himself to greener pastures on Monday, 6-21-21. He was 29 years old.

He held his own and made a name for himself on the pitch playing soccer, on the ice playing hockey, on the dirt track, and boondocking on his sled in The Range. When he was not playing lacrosse, gnarling downhill on his mountain bike, rodeo back flipping on his snowboard, or kick flipping on his skateboard; he was honing his skills as a carpenter.

He loved farming and ranching with his grandpa. He built a cabin with his dad and grandpa. He loved children and children loved him. He loved animals and animals loved him.

He loved furthering his carpentry skills with his mates Nathan Sheets, Scott, and Beau at NS Resource Development.

His Momma Becky Wills, sister Shannon Grisham, and his Old Man Jim Heuer miss him. His Grandma Betty, his Uncle Cody, and his Uncle John miss him. His other 38 aunts and uncles miss him. His dozens of cousins miss him. All who knew him will miss him.

Come all to the Cody Heuer Greener Pastures Tour Saturday, June 26, 2021. Tom and Adris Heuer will host a graveside service for their grandson at the conjunction of Veteran’s Way and Section Q in Laramie’s Greenhill Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. The Cody James Heuer Greener Pastures Tour continues at our LaBonte Skatepark and Pavilion starting at 3:00 p.m. Food and drink will await you there.

He loved.

We are so very sorry and sad to hear this news. Dear Family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We can still see that hockey wingman working his way through a crowd toward the goal along the boards like nobody’s business…never have seen anything like it, never will again. What a gift we watched on the daily and will miss his cheerful greetings and smile. So much love…

Jim, I am so very sorry for your loss. I didn’t have the privilege of knowing Cody, but I know he lived his life his way. Your grief is terrible, for there is nothing worse than losing a child. Know that many of us share your grief and we hope that knowledge can dispel a tiny bit of it.

Jerry, Marcia and son Chris wish you only the deepest of condolences with the loss of your son.

Jerry, Marcia, and Christopher send our love to all of your family at this unbelievable loss of Cody. His skills were remarkable and his abilities many. Watching him grow from boyhood to a man was a gift to us. Cody was so good at everything he set out to do.. Thanks to his Carpenter work alongside his Dad they built us the most amazing Deck and ramp.. He trimmed our bushes numerous times no matter how thick the mosquitos were and always a kind “Hello” whenever we saw him. He has left a lot of people remembering the good times shared with him and those thoughts will be in their minds and hearts forever. As Cody often said, “Gotcha!”
