Bernardino R. Andrade

Bernardino R. Andrade, 85, of Laramie, died Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born November 15, 1936, to Manuel and Maria DeJesus (Rangel) Andrade on the family farm in La Purisima, Guanajuato Mexico.

He came to the United States in January of 1958 to be with his uncle Sacramento Vasquez who lived in Bosler, WY. Once he arrived, he began working on the Union Pacific Railroad for the next 25 years.

He married Mary R. Paniagua on April 3, 1963.

He enjoyed being in the outdoors gardening, fishing, and retrieving firewood. He loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Sergio Andrade; and his brother Gerardo Andrade.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Andrade of Laramie; his children, Marce Allen (Robert) of Oberlin, Ohio, Rafael Andrade (Jennifer) of Evans, CO, Maria Mireles (Jesus) of Aurora, CO; and Juan Carlos Andrade of Laramie; his granddaughter’s, Karissa and Kayla Landuyt, and Isabelle Andrade; great grandchildren, Edgar and Oakley Maynard; and his 12 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Friday, June 10th at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home. Funeral Liturgy will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 10th at St. Paul’s Newman Center. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.

Bernie you will be missed. You were such a good man I we loved being around you and Cooka. I hope you see my mom and dad in heaven. You’ve always been so close and good friends. You and Cooka have been like my parents!

Oh Bernie you will be missed. You were such an amazing man. I sure miss the days when you were always trying to teach me Spanish by only talking to me in Spanish and asking me to only reply in Spanish. Please give Sergio a HUGE hug from me! You both are truly missed! Love you both so much!
