Alice Mae Freese age 97 had her passport stamped April 16, 2025, to enter Heaven.
She will always be remembered as a loving wife (Gordon), mother (Sandra, D.J. and Kandi), grandmother (Evan, Matthew, Colton, and Aaron) and friends too numerous to count.
It’s hard to determine what the “one thing” was that made her a people magnet. In 1945 her friends wrote in her high school annual she was funny, kind, generous, and a downright “swell gal”. She carried those attributes throughout her life. In fact, it might be said of her that even her son-in-law Dan held a special place in his heart for her.
Not sure where we will find Alice when we join her, maybe on a golf course trying for another hole in one, behind St. Vinny’s Counter discounting items to help someone falling on hard times or winning at a game of Mexican Train. One thing is for certain there will be a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the C.N.A’s and nurses at Spring Wind who cared for mom with amazing love, compassion, and sensitivity, they are the angels that walk among us. Hospice joined the team as mom’s time approached. We are blessed in Laramie to have outstanding nurses and care providers making the hard stuff a little easier.
A celebration of Alice’s life will be held at St. Paul’s Newman Center at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025.

Kandi, I remember meeting your mom when I was working as a home health nurse. She certainly was quite a gal and I really enjoyed meeting her. It’s never easy to lose our mom, but it does give us a sense of peace when we know they had a long life full of wonderful friends and a lot of fun.
Warmly,
Genna Trogden

My condolences to you all. Alice was one of my first friends in Lake Havasu, meeting at St. Venny’s, to my first real golf game with her, to attending community plays, all was fun with Alice!
She will be missed! I know she is with the Lord, husband and DJ.
Hugs and prayers, Terée LaVogue
