Sylvia Ann Halsey

 

Sylvia Ann Halsey passed away peacefully on May 22, 2018 in Laramie, Wyoming.  She was born to Roy M. and Anna May Stalder on Dec.9, 1936, in Laramie, WY.  She had two older brothers, Robert C. Stalder and Roy M. (Red) Stalder, Jr.

 

After completing High School, Sylvia married William (Bill) Halsey on June 12, 1955 in Laramie, WY.  They raised three children in Laramie, Janice, Glenn, and Randy Halsey.

 

While in Laramie, Sylvia enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels and working in the Junior High lunchroom for Albany County School District # 1.   She also enjoyed singing in Sweet Adelines, bowling, and square dancing and camping.

 

After Bill retired, they moved to Riverton, Wyoming in 1994 for several years.  Shortly afterwards, they divorced and Sylvia returned to Laramie around 1998 to be with family and friends.

 

She is survived by her children Janice, (Tim) Walker, Glenn, (Nancy), Halsey and Randy, (Anna) Halsey, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

A celebration of life for Sylvia Ann Halsey will be held at 1:00 p.m. on June 24, 2018 at 6342 Pilot Peak Road, Laramie, WY. The family welcomes Sylvia’s friends and family to share stories and enjoy a bit to eat.

    I'm so very sorry for your loss. I have no doubt that God will remember her and keep her memory safe. He will surely be glad to bring her back to life in a perfect world when suffering will be no more and we will all welcome back our loved ones that are asleep in death.
