Stephen G. Graham Sr.

Stephen (Steve “Top”) Graham Sr., 72, of Laramie, died Friday, January 28, 2022, at Hospice of Laramie. He was born May 20, 1949, to Robert and Mary (Brown) Graham in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

Steve served in the United States Army Special Forces for 25 years which included working with University of Wyoming ROTC program from 1984-1987.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was a lifetime member of the Elks Club, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert, and Mary Graham; grandparents, Joseph and Adaline Ford, Jo-Ann Graham, and Betty and Wayne Combs; brothers, Denis Joe, and Ronald Graham.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Graham; children Dianne Gallatin, Kim (Jason) Doty, Penny (Darrin) Childress, Donna Graham and Steve (Jenny) Graham Jr.; grandchildren, Nikol, Greggory, Joshua, Donovan, Heather, Mariah, Justin, Samantha, Angelina, and Michaela; great-grandchildren, Aspen, LeAndre, Nevin, Aleia, Emersyn, and Ella; sisters Sharon (Carl) Zuelke and Delynn Small; cousin David Wayne Combs and numerous nieces, nephews and extended military family.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Elks BPO Lodge #582, 103 South 2nd St. Laramie, WY 82072.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

It's been a while since we last were together in Panama, on ODA-774 in A Company, 3rd Bn., which were great times. Steve was a very good team sergeant and had the respect of his team members. He was a very amiable person on the job as well as off. The times we were all able to get our families together on our down time were very enjoyable times and now fond memories.
