Ruben Andy Leyba

Ruben Andy Leyba, 76, of Laramie, died on Friday, November 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 27, 1941 in Ojo Sarco, New Mexico to Bernabe and Carlotta (Medina) Leyba.

Ruben married Nora E. Lopez in Taos, New Mexico. After his retirement Ruben was all about spending as much time as he could Fishing.

He is preceded in death  by his parents, Bernabe and Carlotta; his daughter, Elaine Leyba; and his grandson, Nathaniel Munoz.

Ruben is survived by his wife, Nora E. Leyba; his children, Edwin Layba (Kristi) of Laramie, Nancy Munoz of Laramie, and Louise Caldera (Tito) of Laramie; his grandchildren, Cho-Cho (Kayla), Michael (Autumn)

Jeremy, Angelo (Samantha), Samantha, Analeigh, and Omar; his great grandchildren, Antonio, Azharae, Talon, Jayden, Chalance, Yessenia, and Damien; his brother, Wilfred (Diane) Leyba of New Mexico; and his numerous nieces and nephews. Ruben is also survived by his many Furry Friends, Buddy his #1 Companion, Nachonoodles, Mia, Zeus, Fonzy, Dexter, Erizo, and Ranger.

Rosary service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church.

Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church with the Reverend Fr. Dave Erickson, celebrant. A reception will follow at the Lincoln Center.

Well Ruben its been a good ride. RIP.. When I met you at Petro,our boss was Micheal Loop one day it was really slow so a bunch of us went outside to clean up the field, you and Iwere together, I found $ 20.00 you were so mad at me.I can still see you, but it never ruined our friendship. A lot of good memories working with you.I laugh once in a while.I know you will be missed.
