Rosella Mae Petersen

Rosella Mae Petersen, 91, of Laramie, died Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Hospice of Laramie. She was born May 1, 1930, in Madrid, Nebraska to William L. and Anna L. (nee Isaacs) Justice. 

She married Ralph Petersen on March 15, 1952 in Kinnear, Wyoming and the couple lived all over Wyoming while Ralph worked for White Ditching Company.

She worked for 10 years at the lunch counter for Woolsworth’s.  She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, and crafts.  Friends and family of Rosella were always welcomed to stop by for a cup of coffee and good conversation at the kitchen table; the cookie jar was never empty.

Rosella was a member of the VFW Auxillary, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph; her parents; her infant son, Terry Dean; her daughter, Debra Petersen Soltman, and her brother, Marion Justice.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Ann Ackerson (James) and Roy Allen Petersen (Kathy) of Laramie; her brother, Norval Justice (Mary) of Kinnear, WY; her six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022, at Harmony Cemetery.
