Roger Harold Andrews, May 18, 1951 — February 3, 2018

Roger’s Story

 

Laramie, WY – Roger Harold Andrews died in his sleep at home from heart failure after an illness of several months on Saturday, February 3, 2018.

 

He was born to Harold and Lois Andrews on May 18, 1951 in Meadville, PA.

 

Roger was a 1969 graduate of Conneaut Area Joint High School, Conneaut Lake, PA.  He attended the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL from 1969 – 1973 and moved to Boulder, CO in the summer of 1973.  He moved to Wyoming around the turn of the century and lived in Casper, Cheyenne, and Laramie.

 

He was a multi-talented person with skills including carpentry, auto mechanics, auto body repair, building and repairing bicycles, making soybean products like tofu and soy milk having once owned and operated The Spinning Kitchen in Boulder.  He was also quite knowledgeable of cooking.

 

His real passion was owning and operating the Vital Arts Clinic where he practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. He was a person of particularly keen insight into human nature and behavior.

 

Roger is survived by his companion of twelve years Suzanne Tuma, a brother Bob Andrews, a sister Corinne Gladis, a nephew Ryan Gladis, a great-nephew Brayden Gladis, a niece Andrea Grimm, and a great-nephew Jameson Grimm.

 

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Harold and Lois Andrews.

 

He was cremated, and no services are planned.  Those wishing to honor his memory are invited to sit down to their favorite meal and reflect on the impact he had on their lives.  If anyone wishes, then please donate to your favorite charity in his name.

    I am sorry to hear of Roger’s passing... I knew him through his Acupuncture work and often referred people to him telling the “he was the real deal” when it came to healing through Chinese medicine. He was always able to chuckle at the absurdities of life and made me smile too! Hope to see you next time around Roger.
