Robert “Ray” Warren, 91, of Laramie died Friday, December 16, at his home. He was born August 29, 1925, in Laramie, to Joseph Warren and Annette Pennock.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; his older brother, Francis; his older sister, May; and his younger sisters, Minnie and Nancy.
Ray was drafted after high school graduation and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Upon returning from military service, Ray worked on a seismograph crew in Arizona and New Mexico. Ray then spent most of his life working for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in Laramie. Ray also worked at Western Research Institute. Ray was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion.
Ray is survived by his wife, Annelene Warren; daughter, Heather Warren; step daughters, Lisa Herbst and Christina Schroder; and step-son, Joseph Herbst. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Hunter Whitney, Gavyn Bienzle, Ashley Schroder, Brittany Schroder, Amanda DeBona, Michael Herbst, Meryssa Herbst, Emily Herbst, MyKayla Herbst and several great grandchildren.
Per his request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held by his family at a later date.

I grew up knowing Ray and his family as he and my Dad worked for the Post Office in Laramie. He was quite the guy who always had a kind word and a smile for everyone. I never knew him any other way. I also got to “halbla espanol” from Mrs. Warren a lifetime ago at LHS. I will miss Ray and will always hold his friendship dear and close. Thinking about his family and friends.

I can’t tell you how many times I wondered how you we’re doing and where you life has led you. I live in laramie as do my parents, I go by your house on W Hill and recall some fond memories of us as kids. Hope all is well. Merry Christmas.

My deepest sympathies to the family of Robert . The loss of a dear loved one is one of the most difficult things to ever go through. I wanted to share the comforting promise of a resurrection found in the Bible at John 5:28,29. Please let the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) give you strength, comfort and hope during this time of sorrow.

The best postal carrier I have ever known. I loved seeing him bring our mail growing up on second street. He always had a kind word for a skinny little girl named Betty.. Rest with the angels Ray.. Betty Dawson

We are so sorry to hear of Rays passing. Our deepest condolences for your loss. We will miss seeing Ray working in the yard, shoveling snow or backing into the driveway. Every time Jade tried to shovel a little bit of his walk he would get a scolding (and loved it). The best next door neighbors you could ask for.
