Michael Andre Lovato

Michael Andre Lovato, 67, of Laramie, passed away on May 24, 2023, in Laramie. He was born January 25, 1956, to Robert James and Roma Emogene (Tuenge) Lovato in Rawlins, WY.

He joined the Navy in 1975 and served until 1979.

He married Linda Vannoy on May 16, 1981, while attending Wyoming Bible Institute in Ranchester, WY.  He received his bachelorโ€™s in theology in 1983 and then he received his Master of Business Administration in 1987 from Boise State University. He became an ordained minister in 1987 and served as Minister at Clearmont Community Church from 1987-1988. He was called a circuit rider as he would do weddings, funerals, and baptisms in the area.

He grew up around his Spanish speaking grandparents and was adept at learning the language.  In 2005 he combined his love of the Bible with his skill in Spanish and spent a month in Oaxaca, Mexico working with Wycliff Bible Translators building facilities for the ministry.

At the time of his passing, he was creating a Bible Study for several family members and friends.  He would send a new installment every week or so.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert, and Roma Lovato; siblings, Ernie Lovato, Otto (Bobby) Lovato, Robin Romero, and Berna Lovato, and niece, Audre Audiss and her son.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lovato; children, Philip (Micki Hudson) Lovato, James Lovato, Judah (Andrea) Lovato and Shemijah King; grandchildren, Aidan Lovato and Ellie Hudson; his siblings, Anthony (Paula) Lovato, John (Denine) Lovato, Judene Buck, Roma Audiss, Aurmelia Decker and Ana Lovato; sister-in-law, Ida Lovato; and his numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. He is also survived by his honorary grandchildren, Maxon and Matilda โ€œTillyโ€ Cochran.

Michael never met a stranger, which meant he had an innumerable number of friends and acquaintances.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the Snowy Range Baptist Church in Laramie.
