Marlys A. Seeman

Marlys A. Seeman, 92, of Laramie passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on February 12, 2023. She was born on April 27, 1930 in Midland, South Dakota to Merle and Hilda (Knutson) Muir. Marlys attended school in Brookings, South Dakota and moved to Laramie in 1962. She was employed at various businesses through the years including Equitable Insurance, Modern Printing and the U.S. Forest Service. Marlys enjoyed bridge, golf, crossword puzzles and a good joke as well as the occasional trip to Blackhawk. Her parents and five of her 6 siblings preceded her in death as well as a grandson, Michael. She is survived by her children, Karen (Scott) Hopkins, Lisa (Jade) Miller of Laramie and Richard Seeman of Denver and a grandson, Kyle Hopkins, of Laramie. She requested no service be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice of Laramie would be much appreciated.

My sincere condolences to all of Marlys’ family. I enjoyed working with her very much and I smiled reading about her love of a good joke because that’s certainly something I remember well about her.

I am so sorry to hear this. I shared an office at the Forest Service with her several summers. I enjoyed her company. She was delightful.

Marlys was a resident at Laramie Sr. Housing when I managed it. She was always a very quiet and sweet lady. Love and prayers to her family.
