Marjorie Eunice Rinehart

Marjorie Eunice Rinehart, 84 of Laramie passed peacefully March 24, 2016 at Laramie Care Center following an extended battle with Parkinson’s disease.She was born October 17, 1931, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Tipton Hubbard and Christine Betts Denton who were longtime residents of the area.  She lived with her family in Edmond, Oklahoma for many years.

Mrs. Rinehart attended the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma, where she met Edgar A. Rinehart.  They were married in Edmond on May 24, 1952.  They then moved to Norman, Oklahoma, where they attended the University of Oklahoma and their two sons, James and John, were born.  Mrs. Rinehart then moved to Laramie, Wyoming with her family in 1964, where Dr. Rinehart became a professor of physics and their sons later graduated from high school and the University of Wyoming.

Mrs. Rinehart worked for several years as an administrative secretary in government employment with the Navy, Air Force, Army ROTC, and the Department of Energy.

She was a member of Alpha Chapter No. 1 of Eastern Star, Chapter AI of PEO, Ivinson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, UW Faculty Women’s Club, and the First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Rinehart was devoted to her family, loved family activities, and enjoyed her many friends.  Her interests included music, art, reading, antiques, volunteer work, and traveling.

Mrs. Rinehart was preceded in death by her parents and husband.  She is survived by two sons, James H. Rinehart, and wife, Patti, of Laramie, Wyoming; and John E. Rinehart and wife, Donna, of LaGrande, Oregon; three brothers, Robert W. Denton of Panama City, Florida, Tom T. Denton of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Dick H. Denton of Anchorage, Alaska; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home.   At the request of Mrs. Rinehart a funeral service will not be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eppson Senior Center, 1560 North 3rd St, Laramie, Wyoming  82072.
