Linda Sue Schell

Linda Sue Schell was born on September 15, 1963, in Lakewood, Colorado. She worked for the government for a total of 41 years and was just settling into retirement. Linda passed away on May 5, 2022, at her current home in Laramie, Wyoming.

Linda was happiest when she was shopping, journaling, arranging flowers, painting, coloring, reading, and spending time with her two children. She was a lover of purple and orange, fuzzy blankets, sunsets, laughter, REO Speedwagon, elephants, crab dinners, and cheesy hallmark movies. Anyone who knew Linda was touched by her kindness, humor, and big heart. Selflessness and generosity were two traits that highlighted her personality. She loved fiercely and deeply, and we can take comfort in knowing that Linda is now at peace surrounded by light and beauty.

She is survived by her daughter; Kacee, and her son; Johordan as well as the family and friends whose lives she touched. She was a bright spark and will be missed by many.

We will be celebrating the life of Linda at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at St. Paul’s Newman Center in Laramie, Wyoming.

Kacee , Johordan and family: I was a close friend of Linda from 2007 to 2012, then I moved to SC. She was an amazing artist that painted enchanting sceneries which matched her personality. I came over to the house frequently and we would put some 80's music on and just have a blast dancing in the living room. She had an amazing smile and with her bubbly personality she gained friendships very easily. It saddens me that her life ended so early. I just found out today that she had passed and I'm truly sorry for your loss. It is hard for children especially to lose a parent and especially someone like Linda. My prayers are with you!

I am very sorry because Linda was a wonderful and kind woman. She welcomed me to Laramie and I enjoyed working with her so much. (I can still hear her infectious laugh.) :) Thank you for your service and I wish you all the best going forward. Much love from our family to yours.

Linda as much as we all shall miss you we will always have unforgettable memories to carry through the rest of our days. I met you on the first day I arrived there at work....and we became friends. Over 15 years of lunches, bridal showers, a night partying at the Governors Mansion in Cheyenne, and conversations that left us in tears of laughter will never be forgotten. Mostly because you are one unforgettable lady. Your talents as an artist always left me at the things that you loved to do. Your gifts as a friend were always a blessing to me. Although deeply saddened that we will never be able to have another one of your favorite lunches, Mexican food, I will never be able to eat another plate of Mexican food without thinking about your smile across the table telling me some hilarious story and laughter. More than miss you dear friend......

What a beautiful and perfect way to remember Linda. She and I had some fun conversations over the years, and she was always so proud of Kacee and Johordan. She was a bright light with a smile and we were fortunate she gave all of us a part of her to take with us. Hold on to her memory so that we can continue to bring her with us. Sending strength to her whole family.
