Laura Hand Donahue

  Laura Hand Donahue, born May 16, 1967, passed away April 9, 2023 in DE. Laura graduated from Laramie in 1985 and from UW in 1989. Before moving to Delaware, she taught at St. Laurence School. She lives on in her art and in the art of the hundreds of students she taught. 

  She leaves behind her husband Jay, her daughters, Serafina (Robert Shumacher) and Veronica.  She is also survived by her mother, Sharon Hand, brother Manus Hand (Angela), sisters Celise Swanson (Andy), Joy Thompson (Andy), Alanna Coca (Laurence) Mollie Hand (Dan Fetsco) and Harmony Savoia (Tony) Her many nieces and nephews were in awe of her art, her music and her stories. 

  She was preceded in death by her father James Hand, a niece, Jessica Coca and a nephew Logan Dobkins.

  A funeral mass is planned in Newark, DE on May 16, 2023, 4:00 EDT at St. Elizabeth Seton.  The mass will be live streamed for all her Laramie friends and relatives at 2:00 MDT  zoomlink:

  Laramie participants can gather at 530 Beaufort #35, Laramie, to watch the broadcast and enjoy stories of the good times they spent with Laura.   A memorial mass will be celebrated in Laramie, Wyoming later in the summer.
