John and I were very good friends in college. We were both Sigma Chi brothers and had many great experiences skiing together at many different resorts. In fact we took a trip together ( in his Buick Le Sabre) and skied Jackson Hole, Park City and Sun Valley all on the same trip. Very generous and funny man and I was very proud to be his friend. I did keep in touch with John over the years and I will miss him very much. Just a sensational man! RIP LARK

My condolences to Leslie, Charlie and both of their families. To say John was an important person in my life feels like an understatement as he was not only my boss, teacher and advisor but also a confidant and friend. I went to work for John after graduating UW and he was my work family for the next 20 years. He was always there for me and I was there for him even after leaving his employment. John meant a great deal to me and I will miss him very much.

I used to play softball with John back in the 80’s with the Police team. He was a good teammate. I know Harry Nagel would want to say he was a good friend to him as well. Blessings for his family.
