Jack Goodrich Cook, 64, of Laramie passed away untimely on June 11 at MCR in Loveland, CO.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Donna and Arnold Cook. He is survived by his loving wife, Jacque (Montgomery) Cook, and his siblings, Rick (Arnold), Ed, Janet (Bucholz), Shauna (Davis), and Ken.
Jack was a caring and generous man. He was always there to help anyone who needed it. He was there for his mother when she fell ill preparing her breakfast every morning and doing all of her chores. He was the first one his many friends turned to when they needed help with a project, whether it was physical help or just guidance. Jack had become very skilled in the building trade and was a knowledgeable carpenter having practiced the trade since his pre-teens with his father. Jack had a wonderful sense of humor and his positive attitude and spirit were contagious. He loved to cook, he loved NASCAR, and he loved building and creating with his hands. And he loved to travel. Jack and his wife had many wonderful years traveling and saw most of the Seven Wonders of the World and visited some beautiful and exotic places. Jack will be greatly missed by many people.
A celebration of life will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Ranger Bar. Bring your stories to share and raise a glass.

Jacque. my heart breaks for you. Jack was a great man, talented, very entertaining, and very much a family man. His love of you was very evident when talking to him. His demeanor puffed up when asked how the two of you were doing. Very proud of his accomplishments in life. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Oh Jacque, my heart aches for you. I always thought Jack was funny, he especially made people smile, it was always a treat when he was at the Elks. I want to Thank you both for mom and dad’s marker, it’s awesome! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this horrible time, remember Jack isn’t to far away, he lives in your heart. I’m so much in shock, I’ve know you have to guard life very well, it’s a very precious gift, and always tell the ones you love. Prayers and hugs.

Jacque, I’m saddened that I haven’t been able to spend time in Laramie and link up with old friends. Jack would always be one of those that I would seek out. I always liked his positive attitude towards life and his humor. We had so many wild adventures together, he will be missed and remembered

Thank you John. You know we had a wild ride but in the end we were soul mates. I miss all the the things we shared together. It was so unexpected. He was telling Chuck Norris jokes that morning.

To Jacque, Janet, Shauna, Ed, Rick, my deepest sympathy. Cookie and I had a lot of history as younger souls – I am saddened that we had not reconnected after so many years. From cooking elk steaks on an open fire at Vedauwoo, to July 4th at Guernsey, to hiking miles out of Rodgers Canyon when we got Jack’s jeep stuck in the snow. Too many great memories to recount here. Cookie Monster will always be in my thoughts and memories – may he rest in peace.

Thank you Tim. We had some wild times but in the end we were two old farts who shared everything and enjoyed each other’s company. Wish we would have had more years together.

Although we didn’t stay in touch, some of the best memories I have of my teen years were of Jack and Janet Cook. Jack was such a pill, but what a sense of humor and sense of fun. You are all in my prayers at this difficult time.
