Hiarm McElmurry

Hiarm Frank McElmurry, 44, of Stringtown, Oklahoma, died Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital.

Hiarm was a thoughtful man who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. When he was not on the road working, Hiarm loved fishing, going mudding, rock crawling, music, and most importantly he loved spending time with his family and close friends. Hiarm also cared deeply for his community. He was an active member of the Oklahoma City Presbyterian Church and other organizations within his community. He was a member of Celebrate Recovery and served as a mentor at the Salvation Army. These organizations provided him a way to serve the people in his town.

Hiarm worked passionately for many years as a truck driver for Hoffman Trucking Company. Trucking was a big part of Hiarm’s life. He enjoyed driving through our beautiful country and especially loved seeing the mountains. His work gave him the opportunity to see the variety of landscapes our country has to offer. Hiarm was passionate about many things, including his work.

Hiarm is survived by his daughters Angela McElmurry, and Karli Williams of Stringtown, Oklahoma, Monica Moore of Ravia, Oklahoma, his son Shelby Hicks of Stringtown, Oklahoma; his grandchildren Kenneth Parker, Eva Simmons, and Linda McElmurry of Stringtown, Oklahoma; his brothers Rick Miller of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Frank Heck of Atoka, Oklahoma; his sisters Dian Sweet and Kathy McElmurry from Ada, Oklahoma; and his fiancé Heather Williams.

Hiarm will be remembered and missed by many.
