I worked with Helen at Gem City Bone & Joint for five years. She taught me patience, and perseverance in managing clinical staff and physicians...many good chats in her office with her, and Dr Curnow! Those two were great at making light of difficult situations. Peace to you now dear Helen and thoughts and prayers to your family. Glad you were able to enjoy many years of retirement!

Steve, Pam and family. I got to spend the last few Thanksgivings and Christmas dinners with Helen and your family. She was very kind and definitely had a soft spot for her great grandchildren. May The Lord give you peace and may you remember all the happy, good times and special qualities of your Mom.

My condolences to the family on the loss of your loved one. Losing someone you love is truly difficult and I know Helen will be missed. Please know our Heavenly Father holds out promises that can help us with our sorrow. One such promise is that death soon will be done away with forever (Revelation 21:4) and another promise is that "there is going to be a resurrection." (Acts 24:15) I pray these promises from God, who cannot lie, (Titus 1:2) bring you comfort.

Helen is too the reason I have the job I have now! 20 years ago she encouraged me to get into dentistry. And 20 yrs later, I'm still in density! I really admired her and looked up to her while I was at GCBJ! She will be missed!

As a medical student in the summer of 1974 I spent 8 weeks in various areas of medical care in Laramie. I spent a week in OR and met Helen, and was captivated by her knowledge, her dedication, and her Texas accent. After I returned to Laramie to practice, I enjoyed interacting with Helen in the OR. Then she moved to Gem City, but I still got to see her frequently. I learned a lot from Helen, and considered her a friend for decades. My condolences to the family she loved so much.

Ruth and family, Your mother was called in to IMH on a Sunday afternoon in November 1972. I had broken my wrist and needed surgery. There was your mom in preop, assuring me everything would be fine. She soothed a twelve year old and left quite an impact. One of the reasons I too went into nursing. I'm sorry for your loss. Prayers up.
