Ethel C. Goodner, 98, of Laramie, died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Laramie Care Center. She was born June 15, 1918 in Enid, Oklahoma to Ben and Louise (Mirkes) Kersen. She married Lynn Robertson on October 9, 1941. Lynn passed away on March 10, 1953. She later married Everett Goodner November of 1958.
Ethel loved animals, doing crafts and gardening. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. She was known to have an endless amount of unconditional love to all who knew her and was around her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Lynn Robertson and Everett Goodner; her son, Bernard “Lee” Robertson; her step daughter, Bonnie Adams; her sister, Ann Robertson; and her brothers, Nick and Hank Kersen.
Ethel is survived by her children, Lynnette Barlow (Bill) of Laramie, WY, Patrick Robertson (Lois) of Springdale, Arkansas; and her step son, Art Goodner of Colorado; her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Walt Kersen of Clarksville, Arkansas.
Per Ethel’s request cremation has taken place and graveside services will be scheduled at a later date in Arkansas.

You did live a long life and you were a very strong and loving person. Although you had some major setbacks in life you servived them and strived.

You were more than just my grams, you were my best friend, teacher, playmate and instructor of life.. The things I’ve learned from you I promise to pass down to who ever I can from the current generation to the next and the strangers I meet along the way.. You always went out of your way to be kind and loving to all people as I’ve tried to emulate you in this way throughout my life.. Too my dear sweet Aunt Ethel, we will always hold a fondness in our hearts and our memories of days since gone. I will always remember the many holidays you filled a big void in my life as a child when it came too Easter Egg hunts, and the many Christmas’s of bubble lights and colorful popcorn balls. The time I came and spent a week or so with you and Uncle Everret and you taught me to sew pillows from carpet squares and the tomato soup and crackers we enjoyed together, oh how I enjoyed these times together. Most recently was when you came too dads house in Clarksville with Net on your journey to Wyoming and my son Adam picked you up walker and all and put you in the house to visit with your brother Walt, and the laughter we all shared knowing then that it would be the last for you both because traveling for you both would be unquestionably not going to happen. Dear sweet Aunt of mine , I loved you many years ago and I love you now. The tradition of bubble lights will continue to glow at Christmas and the popcorn balls will remain under the Christmas tree for my family , my daughters family and my sons. You will always be a lovely memory and a great tradition. Love you forever , Marilyn, Stacie, Adam and your brother, Walter?

I miss you Grandma. You were always there for me growing up and I will always treasure going to your house every week. I am so glad and thankful for your patience with us and telling us stories about your past. You always had a neat snack you had saved for us in your fridge for when we would visit. You made sure we had fun toys to play with. You were amazing and I cannot explain the ache that I feel knowing you are gone. I know I will see you again someday and that until then you are watching over me and my little family. I love you.
