Donald “Steve” Steven Musser

MusserDonald Steven “Steve” Musser, 72, of Laramie, passed away at the Medical center of the Rockies, December 9, 2015.

Steve was born September 28, 1943 in Lewistown, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penns Valley Area High School, Spring Mills, Pennsylvania, June 1961. He joined the Air Force in October 1961. While in the Air Force, he was stationed in Alaska, Vietnam, Germany and the Philippines as well as stateside bases in Florida, New Jersey, South Carolina and Illinois. At the time Steve was in the Air Force, he was in Vehicle Maintenance. He loved the Air Force and it was a good life. He missed it tremendously after he retired in 1981.

He went to work at Wyoming Technical Institute (WYOTECH) as a diesel instructor. He enjoyed working with the students, seeing them become good mechanics and go onto good jobs. When he left WYOTECH he was the head of the Advance Diesel Program. It was a program he helped start and wrote the lesson plans for the program. Steve also enjoyed shooting competition skeet travelling to many skeet ranges in Europe and in the states. He enjoyed hunting for antelope and elk and camping with friends in Snowy Range area. The highlight of his life was spending time with his grandchildren.

March 10, 1963 he married his high school sweetheart, Alice Cox, a marriage that lasted for 52 ½ years. They had two sons, Michael and Scott.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, parents, and son, Michael and grandson, Justice.

He is survived by his wife, Alice, son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Trish of Evansville, WY, grandchildren, Kaylie, Trinity, Soren and Logan and daughter-in-law Jennifer Musser, Longmont, CO.

Cremation has taken place. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
