Dennis Carl Woods

Dennis Carl Woods was born in 1947, in Laramie, Wyoming, to Charles and Katherine Woods. He reunited with his loved ones in Heaven on August 9, 2022.

Dennis was a born survivor, an accomplished musician, an avid baseball fan (Go Rockies!), and loved to share his knowledge with others. He was a sincere and loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. In 2007, destiny brought Dennis his true love and best friend, Ana Djurdjevic, and Dennis cherished every moment he had with her. Dennis was thoughtful, giving, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He requested no funeral services, but we would invite you to carry on Dennis’ legacy by being the first to show up to a family gathering and the last to leave; treasuring every moment you have with your loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, please consider volunteering at or donating to your local hospice or a music program for youth.

Dennis and my friendship goes back to our Laramie Junior High School years. We graduated in the same class from Laramie High School in 1965. Our path crossed rather infrequently for many years, but when they did, it was never getting reacquainted, but rather just naturally picking up where we'd left off. I always admired his innate intelligence and his cheery disposition, He made you feel good about life and yourself. For several years, a mutual classmate held occasional luncheons at her home, and Dennis, several other classmates, and I enjoyed a great time and sharing fond memories. Rest in Peace, my friend.

My condolences to the woods family. Dennis was an accomplished musician and a great vocalist He was an inspiration to many of the Laramie Musicians at the time. I can still remember listening to Dennis and Ken jamming in the garage and performing with their band at some of the Laramie venues back in the day. He will be missed by all.
